The Rebels continued there winning streak with an impressive outing this past Thursday night. Starting pitcher Michael Proios was dominant through 3 innings, where coach Sam decided to save him for a possible relief role this Saturday. The Rebels built an early 6 to 1 lead that they would be topped of by Brian Porricelli’s 3 run Home Run that hit the bottom of the scoreboard at Gunther Field.
George Proios who has said in the past that he would by the kids a steak when they hit a homerun was heard saying that he might have to buy Brian an entire cow.
Kevin McCleneghan and Alec Acri continued to hit the ball hard with long doubles by both players. The Rebels decided to give Valeriano, McClenghan and Porricelli each one inning of work where they each were flawless. The defense was strong as usual where Jack Delaney helped turn one of the two double plays of the night.
