North Bellmore, NY – The NBNM Rebels kicked off the preseason with a victory, 8-2, in a 9-inning game with the Franklin Square Colts.

The Rebels provided very solid pitching including 15 strikeouts from the committee of Brian Porricelli, Michael Proios, Kevin McCleneghan, Jack Delaney and Alec Acri, all of whom were kept to a strict pitch count of 35 pitches or less.

NBNM scattered six hits including a pair for each of Matt Conry and Porricelli who homered in the fourth inning. Acri also hit a homerun in the sixth.

The Rebels next preseason game is Sunday March 25 against Huntington Tri Village in a rematch of the 2011 Williamsport Section finalists.
